296 xx 246 mm. A view showing the carriage and mounted escort of Sultan Ali bin Hamoud arriving outside the new Market buildings with crowds of spectators and police in the foreground. The Sultan arrived at the market, situated on the west bank of the Creek Canal, at 4.30 where he was received by the Regent, A.S. Rogers and the Consul-General B.S. Cave.
