255 x 207 mm. A view showing a group of Arabs and Swahilis gathered around the foundation stone while Joseph Thomas Last (c. 1849-1933), Commissioner for Slavery in Zanzibar 1897-1905, reads the opening address. The figure facing Last across the foundation stone is probably the Liwali of Chwaka. Photograph by J.B. Coutinho. See also Y30468D/86.
