Rattray's ‘Castle’, 1938
Scope and Contents
85 x 60 mm. Possibly the house of Robert Sutherland Rattray, who served in the Gold Coast from 1906 to 1930, the last nine years as Head of the Anthropological Department of Ashanti. He wrote numerous books on Ashanti and was killed in a glider crash on 14 May 1938.
