Matriculation register, 1985 - 1986
Scope and Contents
These are the Registrary's copies compiled from the Praelectors' lists. The series began in 1544 when matriculation was instituted by statute. From 1724 onwards the matriculating student signed his own name in the registers. From 1955 the volumes comprise bound sheets giving names and signatures of matriculands, arranged by College or University department or division.
