Daughter of Chief of Bafut, 1937-12
Scope and Contents
76 x 103 mm. The daughter of the Bafut Chief then gave us a little exhibition of the dance performed in front of her Royal father and the other chiefs. The shuffling of the feet with the slight bent knees, and the bending forward of the body to the rhythmic beat of the drums is quite effective when well performed by a large number of women.
