Grenadier Guards. Native Groom. Private Thomas Hart, No. 4 Coy. Pony 'Malabrigo'. 1st Batt. Grenadier Guards. Lieut. [later Brigadier General Sir Ernest] E.F.O. Gascoigne, Adjutant, D.S.O.'. The photograph is stuck on to an album page entitled 'Omdurman'.
