Scope and Contents

165 x 114 mm. A view showing two Egyptian soldiers looting arms and valuables from the dead dervishes on the battlefield of Omdurman. The customary Egyptian practice of looting the dead after battle was one of the many aspects of the campaign for which Kitchener was later criticised.
