Scope and Contents

Postcard view by T.A. Rust. The building is in the French style modelled after the central portion of the palace at Versailles. It was built by Sir Jagajit Singh (1872-1949), Maharaja of Kapurthala 1890-1942. See Charles Allen, ‘Lives of the Indian Princes’ (London, 1984).
