295 x 239 mm. View looking along the street in an Indian village, with thatched huts lining the roadway. Traders' stalls are set up on the verandahs and a number of figures, including one European, are posed in the foreground. Precise location unidentified but probably in the Calcutta area. The photograph is one of a series of ten prints (negative numbers 1730-1739) offered for sale in the Bourne and Shepherd catalogue under this title in the Calcutta section. Duplicate at Y3022G/61. Bourne no. 1730.
