Scope and Contents
251 x 200 mm. View looking west from the Cathedral tower, over the rooftops and towards Black Bay. Church Lane runs across the picture in the foreground with the junction with Church Gate Street at the right. In the centre middle distance is Outer Church Gate Street with the Esplanade beyond. Photograph reproduced in Edwardes, vol 2, p1 173 and there dated 1864.
