[Farming and riding scenes], 1953-04-01 - 1957-01-22
Scope and Contents
A series of photographs which appear to relate to more than one occasion, and have been roughly grouped by persons shown, costumes worn, etc. Some are captioned. Admiral Stevens refers to the Governor's 'Towering tweed-coated form' and describes him as 'an indefatigable horseman' riding in the farming areas of the Islands. All photographs, barring the last four, are sepia prints. The others are black and white modern prints taken from negatives. The typescript catalogue notes that there are original negatives of these four prints, but as at 21.06.04 they are not found.
