[Mass literacy campaign], 1940 - 1949
Scope and Contents
The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'Mulenga is not the only one who has wished to learn to read and write by the new method. Many others have come to Philip and asked to learn. Philip writes their names in his book and agrees to give them copies of Shibukeni, and to show them how to begin if they promise to find their own teachers among their families and friends as Mulenga did'.
