Scope and Contents

Showing a European agricultural officer standing in a field of under-nourished maize plants, the result of a lack of proper manuring. The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'This is the kind of crop which is all to[o] common in the native reserves. Nothing is being done to restore the fertility of the soil'.
