African labourers attacking hay at the Department of Animal Health Experimental Livestock Farm near Accra, Gold Coast [i.e. Ghana], 1940 - 1949
Scope and Contents
The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'Many acres of hay are grown and stacked for feeding during the long dry season when there is little or no nutrient in the natural grass. The hay is a mixture of Soya Bean and Cow Pea and a very satisfactory yield is obtained. The mixture grows well on poor soil'.
