Scope and Contents

Head and shoulders portrait. The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'To him falls the job of travelling around to the villages and compounds, checking up the nominal roll of all the taxable able-bodied males. When the nominal roll is finished he works out the number of metal discs that will have to be ordered from England for the forthcoming financial year'.
