Scope and Contents
The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'The revenue contributed to the State Treasury from the market is eight thousand, five hundred pounds per year. The women pay one penny per day for the privilege of setting up a stall in the market place. This stall holder collects her ticket from the State Treasury collector who sits in a straw shelter at the entrance to the market'.
