The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'The co-operation of the native administration is necessary to the success of the resettlement scheme. In this picture, the representative of the Emir of Zaria in whose emirate Anchau is situated, calls on Mr. J.H.C. Hicks, one of the Control Officers. They discuss the communal clearing of a nearby village'.
