Scope and Contents
Showing electric welding of oil drums in the factory of La Société Coloniale de la Tôle (Socotole) in Leopoldville. The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'La Société Coloniale de la Tôle (Socotole), filiale de la Société Anonyme des Pétroles au Congo (Petrocongo), produit dans son usine de Léopoldville les fûts métalliques nécesssaires pour le transport des carburants dans la colonie.
Voici une soudeuse électrique; cette machine assemble les deux bords de la tôle, découpée et cintrée au préalable, pour former les flancs du fût (1947). Photo A. Da Cruz'.
