Showing an African with two ropes of Early Hunter River onions strung on a pole over his shoulder. The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'I tried 35 varieties in 1932, and found two did well in West Suk, Yellow Bermuda - a flat onion, and Early Hunter River - a round onion see in picture'.
