Ogwofia. Village centre in early stage, 1940 - 1949
Scope and Contents
The typewritten caption on the reverse reads 'Bush in background. This formerly covered whole site. Ogwofia consists of a number of quarters scattered about ¼ to ½ mile from each other. This piece of land is the most central point. Foreground. Sub-dispensary. (cement and timer [sic] provided by N.A.[Native Administration], mudblocks and labour provided free by village. Middle distance. Bricks for erection of the village maternity home. Background. Reading room'. The pencilled annotation is almost identical to the caption.
