194 x 134 mm. A view looking across the Port Louis racecourse towards the grandstand, with spectators, carriages and motor vehicles in the foreground. The first races held in Mauritius took place at the Champ de Mars, situated at the NE edge of the city, in 1812. Photograph by (?William) Baretti.
