Scope and Contents
72 x 72 mm. A circular print showing the small steamer carrying Princess Marie Louise and her entourage approaching the pier at St. John's. A grand-daughter of Queen Victoria, Princess Marie Louise (1872-1956) was asked to convey a message of goodwill from George V to his West Indian subjects and during her Caribbean tour also opened an inter-colonial exhibition in Barbados. She stayed in Antigua for two days, visiting English Harbour, the Central Sugar Factory at Gunthorpes, and the hospital and poor house.
