Scope and Contents
Showing Kassagama riding towards the camera on horseback: 'Kassagama, the King ot Kabaka of Toro, met me just outside his town [Fort Portal]. He was mounted on a smart horse, which he sat very well, and looked most imposing. Like Kahaya, he is the tallest and biggest man in his country, but he is a good deal older and more dignified than his cousin of Ankole. He understands a little English and is very progressive.' (Bell 1907, February 15).
