British Consulate, Apia, 1885 - 1890
Scope and Contents
139 x 95 mm. A view showing a wooden bungalow with a raised verandah. As in Y309B/27 a flag pole announces the official status of the house, although this is a different building to that in Y309B/27, and is set among palm trees. From his correspondence it is clear that Powell moved several times during his stay in Samoa. The surrounding area looks very similar to that in Y309993A/36, although the building is different, or has been altered.
