Scope and Contents

290 x 190 mm. A view looking down onto the city, and beyond it to the harbour. Auckland, founded by Governor Hobson in 1840, in this photograph is still a small and neat city, with broad streets and open spaces between the suburbs at the left, and the waterfront.
