Scope and Contents
119 x 94 mm. Showing the station master's cottage standing on a small rise, with railway goods trucks in the foreground. General Sir Redvers Buller was appointed Commander-in-Chief on the outbreak of the South African War in 1899, but was superceded by Lord Roberts after defeats at Colonso, Spion Kop and Vaalkrans. The print is numbered '8509'.
