Nyika, 1934
Scope and Contents
A view showing two people on hands and knees on a beach. The caption continues: 'scraping salt deposit from the beach'. The typescript catalogue states that this photograph was taken in Tanzania. However, no trace can be found of a Nyika in Tanzania. It may possibly be in Malawi, as there is a Nyika National Park and Plateau close to Lake Nyasa which is the likely location of the photograph adjacent to this on the album page.
