For the past 50 years African doctors have been directing the Maternity Hospital and centre at Freetown, Sierra Leone. All the doctors and African nursing staff have been trained in England. The Centre includes an Ante-Natal clinic, Labour wards, Lying-in-wards, Post Natal and Infant Welfare Clinics.
