Rude Britannia: British Comic Art, 2009 - 2010
Scope and Contents
Two files containing material relating to an exhibition produced by and held at Tate Britain: Rude Britannia - British Comic Art. This exhibition was open to the public between 9 June and 5 September 2010. The majority of items are correspondence, primarily computer printouts of emails, which are mostly between representatives from the Tate with Roger Law, concerning the loan of Spitting Image material for display. Also present are the following: a loan agreement between Law and the Tate; a season ticket; a catalogue; an optical disc with six Microsoft Word documents, which contain text and images relating to social satire, political satire, and other topics connected to the exhibition; a DVD that contains a video with a short interview with Law; and a DVD that holds the third and final episode of the BBC documentary series, Rude Britannia, which was originally aired on BBC 4 on 16 June 2010.
There is a third file that contains material that is currently closed until September 2041.
