Loughborough University Honorary Doctorate File, 1999
Scope and Contents
A file holding material relating to Roger Law being awarded an honorary doctorate from Loughborough University. The degree congregation ceremony took place on 4 November 1999. Items include: a previously framed example of the degree congregation programme given to those in attendance that day; and a set of four commemorative photographs in presentation folders, which feature different images of Law with university dignitaries. One of those photographs contains an image of Law with his mother, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Sir David James Wallace. Another photograph features Law and Wallace with the puppets of British Prime Minister Tony Blair and American President Bill Clinton.

The set of photographs were originally held within a box in the archive, while the degree congregation programme was framed with two other examples of it. The programme was subsequently removed from its frame and merged into a file with the set of photographs. The two duplicate programmes have been weeded out of the archive.
