Scope and Contents

Two ring-bound 'press and reaction' volumes relating to the BBC Arena documentary special, Whatever Happened to Spitting Image, which originally aired on 20 March 2014, on BBC 4. The first volume, which is the larger of the two, contains mainly copies of articles about the show from magazines, newspapers, and websites. The second volume has four sections: transcripts from a selection of promotional radio and television interviews featuring Roger Law, Peter Fluck and John Lloyd; press release and transcript for a panel discussion that took place at the British Film Institute on 27 February 2014; copies of 'tweets' from the social media platform, Twitter [now X], featuring reactions to the show following its broadcast; and viewing figures.
