Spitting Image Franchise Documentary, 2004

 File
Reference Code: GBR/0012/MS Add.10275/5/8/2

Scope and Contents

A file containing two letters between Roger Law and Adam Kemp, head of commissioning for independents and nations at the British Broadcasting Corporation. Law puts the case forward to Kemp to produce a documentary on the Spitting Image franchises, which were produced in other countries, such as Russia, Japan and Greece. Kemp is informed that the footage and interviews already exist, stored on Hi8 tapes and other formats [collected by Spitting Image Productions Limited back in the early mid-1990s], which just need to be edited down into a documentary. Law adds that next year his autobiography is coming out, which is going to be accompanied by a Spitting Image exhibition, so if this documentary is to be produced, 'now is the time to do it.'

This documentary does not appear to have gone ahead.
