Comprises: Wendy Mulford, ‘The Bay of Naples’, collection of poems, subtitled ‘for Howard Hodgkin / After the Exhibition ‘Forty Paintings 1973-1984’ / The Whitechapel Gallery 1985’ and dated ‘Cambridge – Sennen / 1986-1988’, 28 loose A4 folios, typescript with manuscript amendments, photocopied (apparently incomplete: lacking the poem ‘None but the brave deserves the fair’ called for on the contents page), with a folded slip bearing a reproduction of Hodgkin’s painting ‘After Corot’; manuscript letter from ‘Molly R.’ to Ball, dated ‘Tuesday’, formerly enclosed in a copy of Veronica Forrest-Thomson, ‘On the Periphery’, 1976 (now RBM.19.b.13); manuscript letter from Alicia Ostriker to Ball, 25 July 2001, formerly enclosed in a copy of Ostriker, ‘The Little Space: Poems Selected and New, 1968-1998’, 1998 (now RBM.19.c.69); three word-processed poems by Alicia Ostriker, c. 2012 and undated, two of them, ‘Approaching Seventy: Four Versions’ and ‘The Blessing of the Old Woman, the Tulip and the Dog’, inscribed in manuscript by Ostriker to Ball, the other beginning “Dear god...”, all formerly enclosed in a copy of Ostriker, ‘The Book of Seventy’, 2009 (now RBM.19.c.68); manuscript letter from Jane [Wight?], 15 September 2005, formerly enclosed in a copy of Vince Gilbert and Jane Wight, editors, ‘Waiting for the Echo: Poetry from the Norwich Poetry Group’, 1994 (now RBM.19.c.70).
