'Dennis Brundritt', 1950 - 1980
Scope and Contents
200 x 132 mm photographic reproduction. The full-rigged ship ‘Dennis Brundrit’ of 462 tons was built in Runcorn by Brundrit & Whiteway in 1856. After being damaged in a gale off Cape Horn while carrying coal, it was bought by John Dean in 1879 and refitted for commerce between Britain and the Falkland Islands. It was wrecked at Salvador, East Falkland, in 1892.
