Colonel Wood's Camp on the Blood River, south side, 1879-01-17
Scope and Contents
The sketch is taken, looking south the camp is No. 4 Column, on the march to the Zulu War, taken 17th January 1879. The Camp of the Swazi warriors 1,000 strong is on the right and commanded by British officers. It is attached to Colonel Wood's force to fight against the Zulu nation, sent by their King.
