Scope and Contents
110 x 110 mm. A handwritten caption on a piece of paper accompanying the image reads: 'Baobab trees; a familiar sight in areas of East Africa so dry that trees have developed their own method of storing moisture. Notice the bare, stony appearance of the ground, and the bare outcrops of rock on the distant hill.'
