Scope and Contents

Issues and tearsheets for the British newspaper supplement, The Sunday Times Magazine. The following items are present:

1. 19 February 1984 issue - pages 50 and 51 contain an article on the upcoming first series of Spitting Image, accompanied by a photograph of Roger Law, Peter Fluck and others buried amongst a number of puppets.

2. Tearsheets from an October 1986 issue, which contains an article by Lewis Chester on his experiences visiting the Spitting Image Workshop, and interviewing staff for his book, Tooth & Claw: The Inside Story of Spitting Image.

3. 22 February 1987 silver anniversary edition - pages 110 to 112 contain an article on Roger Law and Peter Fluck, relating to their past relationship with The Sunday Times Magazine as illustrators.

4. Tearsheets from an unidentified issue, c 1987-c 1988, containing an interview with Spitting Image voice actor, Steve Nallon, the voice of Margaret Thatcher.

5. A tearsheet from an unidentified issue, c 1988-c 1990, featuring an article on British-Irish radio and television broadcaster, Terry Wogan. The piece includes an image of Wogan with his Spitting Image puppet.

6. Tearsheets from the 15 September 1996 issue, which features an article on British broadcaster, Melvyn Bragg. The piece includes an image of Bragg with his Spitting Image puppet.
