Broadcast, 1984, 1990 - 1996
Scope and Contents
Items relating to the British weekly/monthly media industry magazine, Broadcast. The following items are present:
1. Two front cover tearsheets for the 27 April 1984 issue, which both contain images of the Spitting Image puppets for President Ronald Reagan and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. However, the image for each cover is different (SI/509 (b) and (c)).
2. The 5 October 1990 issue, which includes a short article on page 2 about American broadcaster, CBS, commissioning Spitting Image Productions Limited to produce a six-part television series, Rubber News. The article is accompanied by a photograph of Roger Law and William Sargent.
3. The 1996 Productions Awards issue, which includes a section on the SIPL-produced animated television series, Crapston Villas. The show was awarded best new programme.
