Biographical / Historical
Dr Peter Mitchell (b 1962) was Tutor and Fellow in Archaeology of St Hugh's College and Lecturer in African Prehistory at Oxford University. Andrew Arthur Anderson (fl. 1856-1891), traveller and artist, was a Scottish settler in South Africa who explored southern Africa. He was the author of 'Twenty-five years in a waggon in the gold regions of Africa' (London, 1887).
