Biographical / Historical
Charles Edmund Carrington (1897-1990) was Abe Bailey Professor of Commonwealth Relations at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, 1954-1962, and a campaigner against Britain joining the E.E.C. In 1960 he undertook investigations to discover what residual effect the Congo Basin Treaties might have on the countries of Central Africa.
