Costume Stencils, c 1984-c 1996
Scope and Contents
A box containing six sub-files, which hold cloth and paper stencils used to make clothing for the puppets featured on the British satirical television series, Spitting Image. These stencils are: an eighteenth-century frock coat, a men's jacket with a 46-inch chest, a jacket and trousers for a Bernard Manning puppet, a Santa Claus outfit, a space suit, and a XXL-size bomber jacket. Also present is a stencil relating to the Jemima Wellington-Green character from the Round the Bend children's show. The Spitting Image Workshop made the puppets for that series, which was produced by Hat Tricks Productions.
