Costume Stencils, c 1980-c 1996
Scope and Contents
A box containing 14 sub-files, which hold cloth and paper stencils used to make clothing for the puppets featured on the British satirical television series, Spitting Image. There is also a stencil relating to the Gilbert the Alien puppet, which presented the British television children's programme, Get Fresh, in the late 1980s. Also present is a stencil for the Treasure Island character, Squire Trelawney. This stencil relates to either the work done for an illustrated version of Treasure Island, done by Luck & Flaw in 1980 and 1981, or a Treasure Island life-size diorama produced by Spitting Image Productions Limited for exhibit at the National Aquarium of Scotland in 1994/1995.
