Scope and Contents

Collection of coloured postcards of scenery in Tanganyika Territory (now Tanzania) and British East Africa (now Kenya), reproduced from paintings by Miss A.V. Hammond exhibited in the Tanganyika section of the British Empire Exhibition of 1924. A caption on the reverse of each reads 'Copyright picture by Miss A.V. Hammond. Reproduced in Great Britain by Valentine and Sons Ltd'. Captions have been recorded as found.
