Scope and Contents

200 x 145 mm. Showing four pearl ships on the sand, with a pier behind them. Broome, on the western side of Dampier Land, at Roebuck Bay, replaced Cossack as the main Australian pearling port in the 1890s. By 1903 Broome supported 300 pearling vessels.
