288 x 232 mm. A view from a hillside above the bay showing a small township and one of the arms of land in the bay, 'This bay gains its name from the fact that it is so cut up by arms as to resemble the bones in a herring's neck'. (Holloway 1905).

This image appears in Holloway, Robert E. (1905). 'Through Newfoundland with the camera', St John's: Dicks and Co. The text was completed after his death by his family and it is probable that the plates were reproduced from negatives by his daughter Elsie as they are stamped on the reverse 'The Holloway Studio'.
