Scope and Contents

141 x 84 mm. A view from the sea looking towards the northern waterfront of Zanzibar Town. In the centre of the picture stands the Beit Al Ajeib. Sir Lloyd Mathews' house, later the Sultan's Palace, is the second building from the left of the print. The spires of the Roman Catholic Cathedral can be seen on the skyline. A noe in pencil on the reverse says : A general view. Central building formerly Sultan's Palace, now used as Govt offices.
