U.M.C.A. and Anglican Cathedral, 1900 - 1910
Scope and Contents
201 x 152 mm. A view looking across the garden of the old Headquarters of the Universities Mission to Central Africa towards the Anglican Cathedral Church of Christ. Built under the supervision of Bishop Steere (Bishop of Zanzibar 1874-1882), the cathedral stands on the site of the last market for enslaved persons in Zanzibar and was completed in 1879.
