Photographic material and another item relating to plasticine models produced by Luck & Flaw for an illustrated version of Robert Louis Stevenson's novel, Treasure Island. Work on this book took place between May 1980 and March 1981. However, the project was shelved after completion and the illustrated book was not published until 1986, following the success of Spitting Image.

The following are present:

1. A small, ring-bound notebook with illustration ideas for each chapter of the book. The contents of the notebook are in Roger Law's hand (L+F/87).

2. A file with black and white photographs, contact prints, and negatives with images of Roger Law's and Peter Fluck's former English tutor at the Cambridge School of Art, David Joseph. These images were taken as reference shots for the character, Long John Silver (L+F/86 (a)).

3. A file with black and white photographs, contact prints, and negatives with images of a teenage boy, Matthew Rowe. These images were taken as reference shots for the character, Jim Hawkins (L+F/86 (b)).

4. A file with black and white photographs of two men: Kevin, and Wesley West. These individuals frequented the pub, The Clarendon Arms, which was next to Luck & Flaw's studio on Victoria Street, Cambridge. These images were taken as reference shots for pirate characters (L+F/86 (c) and (d)).

5. A file holding the following: a contact print with images of Roger Law and David Joseph; black and white photographs and a sheet of contact prints, which feature images of a mock fight scene between Law, Fluck and an unidentified man; and black and white photographs, contact prints and negatives with images of two men, Roger Alsop and Matthew [?]. The latter two were possibly regulars at The Clarendon Arms. All these images were taken as reference shots (L+F/86 (e) to (h)).

6. A file holding black and white photographs, a sheet of contact prints, and negatives with images of Tony Hendra. These images were taken as reference shots.

7. A bundle with 35 plastic sleeves holding an assortment of transparencies and 35mm slides, which feature images of the model illustrations produced for the book (L+F/61 to 85). These images were taken by John Lawrence Jones.

It is unknown whether John Lawrence Jones took the reference photographs found in files 2 to 6.
