The Last Heroes, 1966 - 1967
Scope and Contents
Two hardboard woodcuts containing print designs that were used to illustrate the article series, The Last Heroes, which appeared in the 29 January 1967 issue of The Sunday Times Magazine. The first design is a representation of the assassinated Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Patrice Lumumba, which accompanied a column written by Ronald Segal (RL/Pre-/822). The second design is a representation of the Italian bandit, Salvatore Giuliano, which accompanied a column written by Norman Lewis (RL/Pre-/854).
