Scope and Contents

A large piece of artwork produced by Roger Law at Cambridge School of Art, drawn on newsprint paper with felt-tip pen and coloured with watercolour paint. The artwork is split into four sections: part 'A' is a cartoon drawing of one of Law's school tutors, Paul Hogarth (RL/Pre/859 (a)); part 'B' is a cartoon drawing of another school tutor, Bobby Hunt (RL/Pre-/859 (b)); and part 'C' is a cartoon drawing of a boy and a dog (RL/Pre-/859 (c)). Section 'D' of this artwork is a continuous cartoon strip that stretches to around 30 metres and is titled, 'The Journey of the Artist as a Young Man' (RL/Pre-859 (d)). All of these items were hung on the walls of the life drawing room at art school, during a Christmas party.
